Lynn I. Poor is originally from Bath, New Hampshire. She began working for the University of Southern Maine (USM) in October 2007. She is primarily responsible for advisor assignments, academic actions, student accounts/billing, campus card services, coordination of campus tours, hiring, training, and supervision of student employees, and LAC Student Success Center Coordinator support.
Lynn is the Lewiston-Auburn College (LAC) Liaison and an active member of the USM Chapter of Golden Key International Honour Society. She is also the staff representative for LAC's Community Advisory Board (CAB), the alumni/staff representative on the CAB Sub Committee on Alumni Relations as well as a member of the LAC Student Conduct Committee and USM's Academic Integrity Board.
Lynn graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2012 from USM's Natural and Applied Sciences degree with a concentration in the Biology of Health and Illness and a minor in Holistic and Integrative Health. She is currently enrolled in USM's Master of Science in Adult and Higher Education degree. Lynn was certified in Reflexology in the State of Maine on May 5, 2010 and earned her Reiki Master Teacher certification on October 31, 2004. Lynn has a passion for holistic medicine and alternative therapies.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending quality time with her family and friends and snuggling with her two four-legged children, Summer and Solstice.
