Belly Dance: - Offered in the Fall semester only
Have lots of fun, reduce stress, and celebrate the fabulous woman that you are by learning the proud and joyful art of belly dance! A 9 week session will introduce you to the basics of belly dance in a unique way: learning to dance from the inside out by connecting breath to movement and feeling technique instead of imitating movement. This class will have a meditative but still vigorous and fun component. No previous dance experience is required. Choreography will be replaced by your natural movement enhanced, explored, and refined, then seamlessly linked together to create phrases of belly dance. (You’re going to be awesome!) There will be an end of class show for those who wish to perform. This class is best suited for beginner and beginner/intermediate level.
