The Institute for Readers Theatre, academically sponsored by University of Southern Maine, is dedicated to the advancement and development of Readers Theatre. The Institute provides hands-on, collaborative workshop environment, with a curriculum that covers script making, direction, performance, oral interpretation, and teaching & instructional methodology.
This workshop is open to both credit and noncredit participants and has a long tradition of intergenerational participation. Workshop classes are Monday - Friday mornings for two weeks with afternoons and evenings free to enjoy London 's museums, historical and cultural landmarks, and a variety of recreational spots.
Credit students should expect to spend additional time outside of the classroom for research and reports.
 Graduate students may study the techniques on a more scholarly level in our advanced courses (for returning participants).
