For High School Students
The Southern Maine Music Academy has an established reputation as one of New England's premier summer music programs. This exciting, yet demanding, nine-day program gives high school musicians the opportunity for musical growth and development through intensive group and individualized instruction provided by qualified staff and professional musicians.
All academy members will participate in concert band and small ensembles. Students, who wish, may also audition for jazz band. In addition, academy members will have the opportunity to enjoy free concerts performed by professional local musicians and one fun-filled day at Sebago State Park (weather permitting).
Applicants should play one of the following instruments:
- flute
- oboe- full
- bassoon- full
- clarinet- full
- saxophone
- percussion/set drums- full
- french horn

- baritone/euphonium
- tuba
- guitar *
- piano *
|
* guitarists and pianists should also play a wind or percussion instrument.
Instrumentation is limited, so placement will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
