Teacher Education at Lewiston-Auburn College

Programs

USM's Lewiston-Auburn College offers both K-8 General Elementary Teacher Certification and Secondary Teacher Certification in the areas of: English, Life Science and Social Studies.

For the K-8 certification, students choose to earn a bachelor's degree in either Arts and Humanities or Natural and Applied Sciences.  Both degrees include earning K-8 certification as part of the 120 credit degree programs.

For Secondary Certification, students wanting to earn certification in English or Social Studies complete the Arts and Humanities degree.  For Secondary Life Science certification, students complete the Natural and Applied Sciences degree.
