Writing Across the Curriculum

ENGLISH COMPOSITION

             All USM students must demonstrate writing competence.  The basic English Composition (letter C) requirement can be met in any one of three ways:

(1)    Score 500 or above on the CLEP General English Composition Test (3 credits)

(2)    Satisfy composition standards in ENG 100C or ENG 101C by the second week of the term  (no credit)

(3)  Successfully complete ENG 100C or ENG 101C or ESL 100C.
