The Maine Women Writers Collection at the University of New England is pleased to announce that registration for the Spring Academic Conference of the Maine Women Writers Collection, Maine Women's Studies Consortium, and New England Women's Studies Association on the theme "Identity*Memory*Testimony" is now open.  The conference will take place on March 30-31, with a snow date of April 1, 2012.
Friday, March 30, the Maine Women Writers Collection will host an evening reception and reading by Mihku Paul, Cheryl Savageau, and Susan Deer Cloud.
Saturday, March 31 will offer panels, roundtables, and a workshop, along with performances.  The keynote address "Stuck in the Middle with You: a discussion of parenthood in three genders" will be delivered by Jennifer Finney Boylan, author of She's Not There, I'm Looking Through You, and the Falcon Quinn series.
This conference is co-sponsored by the University of New England's Women's and Gender Studies program; departments of English and Language Studies, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology; Center for Global Humanities; Office of Multicultural Affairs and Diversity; Add Verb Productions.
