Celeste Fenton is and Adjunct Professor in the Adult & Higher Education Program at the University of Southern Maine. She earned her PhD in curriculum and instruction with emphasis in adult education and research and measurement from the University of South Florida.  

Celeste served as the Director of Faculty Professional Development and Employee Professional Development for Hillsborough Community College and taught undergraduate courses until her retirement in 2016. Since 2008, Celeste teaches a variety of graduate courses in the Department of Leadership, Counseling, Adult, Career and Higher Education for the University of South Florida. Her research interests include effective distance learning strategies and adult learner role balance.

Since her retirement from full-time administrator responsibilities, she has been dabbling in writing, and just completed a murder mystery novel that takes place in a senior living center. Celeste is married to a wonderful man, who shares her love of travel, staying fit, and learning. She has two amazing adult sons, two beloved grandchildren, and two spoiled Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
