The Adult and Higher Education program hosts several events each year that offer prospective students, current participants and graduates an opportunity to come together in person. While some of these programs change from year to year, historically there have been late summer social gatherings called “Bagels by the Sea,” special seminars focusing on adult and higher education careers, and other opportunities for co-curricular activity. One constant that has been taking place for more than 20 years is the annual fall “Capstone Celebration and Luncheon” in which recent graduates share their work from the HRD 649 capstone seminar. Finally, capping the academic year in May, a party is held honoring program graduates and their families. .
These gatherings provide wonderful opportunities to catch up with old friends, meet other adult educators and listen to thought-provoking presentations by students and graduates.
