Emma grew up in both Santa Monica, CA and Yarmouth, ME, and moved back to Portland after living in Boston for several years. She began working for USM 2016, and is currently a Professional Academic Advisor. Emma is the liaison with the Art department but also works with Engineering, Technology and Social Work students.
Emma attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education, receiving her Master’s in Education in Prevention Science and Practice as well as a Certificate in Advanced Studies in Adolescent School Counseling. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Boston University, where she majored in Sociology and minored in Biological Anthropology.
In her spare time Emma enjoys listening to music and going to concerts, watching movies and trying to keep up with various TV shows, finding (easy) hikes to take around Maine, lounging around at home with her cat, and spending her paycheck on all the delicious food there is to eat in Portland.
Emma is committed to creating a positive and inclusive college experience for all and has a passion for helping students develop pathways to achieve their goals.
