Erica is originally from Scarborough, Maine. She began working for the University of Southern Maine in 2019, and is currently an Academic Advisor for Public Health, Psychology, Biology, Health Sciences, Social & Behavioral Sciences, and undeclared students.
Erica attended Suffolk University, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs, as well as a Master of Education in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State University. Erica has a TEFL certification and previously taught English as a Second Language in Taiwan. She also has experience working with education and human services nonprofits, orientation, education abroad, and managing programs to support students experiencing housing and food insecurity.
Erica is passionate about social justice and fostering inclusive learning environments where all students can find a sense of belonging. She enjoys helping students explore and pursue their educational and co-curricular passions.
In her spare time, Erica enjoys going to see live music, eating seafood, spending time in nature, meeting new people and traveling.
