Helen Gorgas Goulding is originally from Swarthmore, Pennsylvania and began working for the University of Southern Maine in 1986 as a Resident Director in Gorham and also worked for many years as Director of Commuter Life and Recreation as well as Assistant to the Vice President for Student and University Life on the Portland campus.  She is currently the Coordinator of the Advising Center in Gorham and acts as one of the Professional Advisors and liaison to Engineering, Psychology, Theater, History and Undeclared students.  She is also the Advisor to the Golden Key International Honour Society USM Chapter.  She graduated with a Psychology/Sociology degree at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania and went on to Ohio University for a master's degree in Higher Education Administration and Community Counseling.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, loves movies and gardening.
