Academic advising at USM has been recognized for its involvement in Excellence in Academic Advising (EAA) a global initiative to improve the academic advising experience.

Provost Jeannine Diddle Uzzi won the Michael C. Holen Pacesetter Award on behalf of the University of Southern Maine (USM) at the 2020 NACADA Global Awards Virtual Ceremony.

Six USM students from diverse experiences and backgrounds shared how they manage their responsibilities, stay motivated, and overcome obstacles while going to college during a global pandemic.
