Academic Gains through Improved Learning Effectiveness (AGILE)

Technology Assistant Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Technology Assistant at the Learning Commons. This online application will only take a few minutes to complete.

Technology Assistants work with students 1:1 to develop skills and comfort with many of the software programs associated with academic tasks. These include Microsoft Office programs, Google applications, blogging programs, software used in online courses, and other technology tools for academic purposes.  Technology Assistants also design and facilitate workshops on such programs both inside and outside of the classroom, and create "how to" documentation that is student friendly.

Qualifications include: overall minimum GPA of 3.0 (which must be maintained); availability to participate in the tutor training program; availability to work at least four hours each week.

Once this form is submitted, you will be contacted by the Academic Support Program Specialist, Cristina Kerluke, to discuss the role in further detail.

(NOTE: this is not a requirement for consideration.)
Please list all of the software programs with which you have experience and a high level of comfort. NOTE: there will be training to develop proficiency with some of the most common programs for which students are seeking assistance.
In the space below please provide the name, department, and email address for two faculty members you believe can best confirm your strengths. We will contact your faculty as part of the review process.
