Thursday, September 5, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

159 State Street, 2nd Floor, Portland, Maine

Free and Open to the Public

On behalf of One Climate Future and Vajra Vidya Portland (V.V.P.), Jan Piribeck, artist and V.V.P. member, will lead a discussion on How Climate Change Impacts Our Communities and What We Can Do. One Climate Future is Portland and South Portland's combined planning process on climate action and adaptation.

Vajra Vidya Portland is a Tibetan Buddhist meditation center under the direction of the Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche.

Piribeck's work as an artist focuses on climate change and sea level rise in particular; her presentation will provide an overview of climate change, what kinds of impacts we can expect in our area and how action is being taken through One Climate Future.

The presentation is free and open to all and will include a recitation of the Global Warming Prayer written by Thrangu Rinpoche at the request of John Stanley, scientist and student of Dudjom Rinpoche.
