Huskies’ Baseball Enters 2018 Ranked 15th in D3Baseball.Com Preseason Poll

GORHAM, Maine – Coming off of a successful 2017 season with a record of 34-13 overall and 12-2 in the highly competitive Little East Conference, the University of Southern Maine Huskies’ baseball team enters the 2018 season ranked 15th in the D3Baseball.Com/NCBWA Preseason Top 25 Poll.

            Earning an at-large berth into the 2017 NCAA Division III National Championship tournament and finishing as the LEC regular season champion, the Huskies made their 23rd appearance in the NCAA tournament since 1987 last season. Winning a regional title on eight occasions, most recently in 2014, USM finished as the 2017 New York Regional Runner Up, coming up one-game shy of the program’s ninth appearance in the NCAA Division III College World Series. With eight Word Series appearances to their credit, the Huskies have won national titles in 1991 and 1997, and were national runners-up in 2013. READ MORE
