Harkleroad Named LEC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year

For the second consecutive season, USM men's cross country coach Ryan Harkleroad has been tabbed the Little East Conference Coach of the Year.

A pair of USM men's soccer players have earned post-season honors from the Little East Conference, including standout goalkeeper Richard Glemawu. Rich is the first USM men's soccer player to earn Rookie of the Year honors since 2005.

Senior standout Jess Williamson made a little Husky history by becoming the first USM volleyball player to earn Little East Conference Player of the Year accolades. Williamson is a Biology major, and a three-time William B. Wise Scholar Athlete.

Field hockey standout Dorina Sirois, a Cyber Security major, earned post-season honors from the Little East Conference for her outstanding play during the 2017 season.

USM Celebrates 177 William B. Wise Scholar Athletes

USM Athletics celebrated its 30th Annual William B. Wise Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet on Sunday, November 5. A record 177 student-athletes were honored for having a 3.0 GPA or higher while being a member of one of USM's 22 Division III intercollegiate sports. Eleven Huskies earned the distinction for the fourth time in their careers. USM Athletics was joined by President Cummings, Vice President Griffin and Provost Uzzi.

Southern Maine Hosts NCAA Div. III Cross Country Regional Championships This Saturday

The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Cross Country New England Regional Championships come back to Gorham, Maine, for the first time since 2013 this Saturday (November 11) when the University of Southern Maine hosts the annual event at the Gorham Country Club.
