Southern Maine Athletics To Honor 2020 Husky Hall of Fame Class on October 17

GORHAM, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Department of Athletics will honor its most recent additions to the Husky Hall of Fame as part of its 35th Husky Hall of Fame induction on Sunday, October 17 at the Sheraton at Sable Oaks in South Portland, Maine.  The eight new inductees will bring the total number of former Southern Maine standouts in the Husky Hall of Fame to 235.  Long-time Husky fan and sports anchor Dave Eid, of Channel 13 Sports, will serve as the event's emcee.

Reconvening to celebrate the outstanding legacies and performances of past USM student-athletes, coaches and administrators, the Husky Hall of Fame -  presented by Army ROTC  - returns after a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the presenting sponsorship from the ARMY ROTC, the Husky Hall of Fame is supported by University Credit Union, Yankee Ford and Saco Bay Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy.  

"The Husky Hall of Fame ceremony is an integral part of our tradition building that supports and promotes the great history of USM Athletics, its former student-athletes, coaches and staff" noted USM Director of Athletics Al Bean.  "I'm genuinely excigted that we will be returning to an in-person format to honor this deserving group of former Husky greats and share in the joy and camaraderie of what always proves to be a memorable event."

The Husky Hall of Fame Class of 2020 includes standouts from Southern Maine's baseball, women's basketball, men's cross country, and track & field, field hockey, women's soccer, men's soccer, and women's track & field. READ MORE
