Volleyball's Jess Williamson Named LEC Offensive Player of the Year

 GORHAM, Maine -- The Little East Conference (LEC) office today announced that University of Southern Maine senior Jess Williamson (Goffstown, N.H.) has been named the Offensive Player of the Year, and first team all-conference for the third consecutive year, following a vote by the conference's head coaches.

            Williamson, the 2014 LEC Rookie of the Year, becomes the first USM volleyball player to win the Offensive Player of the Year award.  During her four-year career at USM, Williamson was named to the all-conference squad all four years adding a second-team honor in the 2014 season to her three first-team awards.

            Williamson leads the conference in kills (458) and is ranked second in kills per set (4.40).  Her .274 hitting percentage is fourth best.  The 5-foot-8 outside hitter is 12th in digs (284) and 14th in digs per set (2.73).  Williamson is second in points per set (4.8). READ MORE
