BIO 205 students visit Portland Science Center

BIO 205 students at Portland Science Center

BIO 205 Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy class visited the Portland Science Center Exhibit — Planet Shark: Predator or Prey. This field trip supports concepts in anatomy and evolution that the students are studying in class. Sharks provide an excellent example of an ancient body form adapted to a variety of marine environments. Students are studying primitive and derived features of sharks and connecting evolutionary origins of tetrapods with fish ancestors.
