 Liz Brown

Liz Brown received a BA in Art & Entrepreneurship, with a concentration in Printmaking and a minor in Book Arts, from the University of Southern Maine in 2017. She is a current member of the University of Southern Maine Kate Cheney Chappell ‘83  Center for Book Arts Critique Group.

While Liz has always considered herself to be  “creative”, she has only started to consider herself an artist in the past few years. Classes in printmaking, photography, painting, drawing, digital tools, and book arts, allowed her to explore her talents and learn about materials and techniques that are now enabling her to make art that expresses her love of color,  nature, and travel. She is especially grateful for the opportunities to travel to France in 2017 and Italy in 2019 with Rebecca Goodale and Lin Lisberger. These USM-sponsored trips provided inspiration, experiences, relationships, and instruction that have been invaluable to Liz over the past few years. She loves the Book Arts community and all that it encompasses.

While at USM, Liz won Best of Show in the Student Juried Exhibition, 2016.Her work has been exhibited in group shows at the Glickman Family Library at USM; Center Street Gallery, Bath, Maine; Portland Public Library; and the USM Art Galleries.
