In order for USM to stay in compliance with the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA), course material requisitions are required to be submitted by faculty members to the Bookstore before the start of each semester's registration period. Semester requisition submission deadlines are:
- Fall Semester: March 15
- Winter Session: September 15
- Spring Semester: October 15
- Summer Session: February 15
