SUMMARY:Creepy & Curious Collections Pop-Up Exhibit at the Osher Map Library
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again… we invite you to check out a pop-up exhibition of particularly peculiar materials found in the Osher Map Library (OML) collection! We’ll be open late with a selection of materials on view in the OML Reading Room\, plus crafts and snacks in the Cohen Classroom (Glickman 103). \n▪️ When: Thursday\, October 29\, 2026\, 3:30 – 6 PM\n▪️ Where: Osher Map Library Reading Room and Cohen Classroom (Glickman 103) \, 314 Forest Avenue\, Portland (located inside the Glickman Family Library on the 1st floor) \nWhat to expect:\n🎃 Eerie Entertainment in the Cohen Classroom!\n🎃 Create your own beaded spiders and paint mini pumpkins!\n🎃 Learn the art of Geomancy!\n🎃 Light refreshments will be provided; this event is FREE and open to all! \n \nParking and Public Transport:\nParking on the University of Southern Maine (USM) Portland campus is available for $4.15 per hour in Garages 1 and 2. Please visit the USM digital parking interface (opens in a new tab) to reserve your parking ahead of time. Greater Portland Metro (open in a new tab) bus lines #4 and the Husky line pickup and drop-off about a four-minute walk from the entrance of the Glickman Family Library. One-way rides on the Greater Portland Metro bus are $2.25 each way.

DESCRIPTION:A Halloween themed recital showcasing the students in Ed Reichert’s Musical Theater Studio.  Plus tributes to Dolly Parton\, Duncan Sheik\, and Tim Curry.\n\n\nStudent recitals are free and open to the public.\n\n\nEvent Details\nParking\nDue to limited resources\, parking is not free on our Portland and Gorham campuses. You must purchase a parking permit or paid parking session to park on campus. We recommend reserving your parking in advance at https://events.parkengage.com/usm.\n\nFor easy access to the Crewe Center for the Arts\, choose either Parking Garage 1 (attached to the Abromson Community Education Center)\, Lot P1 (off of Bedford St. by Luther Bonney) or Lot P6 (off of Exeter St. or Deering Ave by the former Maine Law building).\n\nDisability Access and Accommodations\nLarge format printed programs\, Assisted Listening Devices\, and Wheelchair access are available at each performance.
