Required Online Sexual Assault Prevention Training

Get Inclusive Logo is the outline of a hand in green with a spiral inside and the words "get inclusive"

Our new sexual assault prevention training is provided by "Get Inclusive." It is an interactive online program designed to educate about the prevention of sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, and stalking while helping each campus meet Campus SaVE Act (VAWA) and Title IX education mandates.

This training is required for all incoming students (first time in college, and transfer students) and employees of the University of Maine System. All upper-class students are encouraged to receive the training.

The University understands that some of the information contained in this training may be emotionally triggering to students who have been directly impacted by these issues.  If you feel that this may apply to you, please be in touch with the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for USM, Sarah Holmes (email: USM.TitleIX@maine.edu or phone: 207-780-5767) to request an exemption.

To access the training, students should go to your MyUSM Portal and log in with your @maine.edu username and password.  Look for the message under Student Announcements that reads, "Sexual Assault Prevention Training" and click on the link for the training.  You can also log into MaineStreet and look for the same announcements on the main landing page. You should be logged into the "Get Inclusive" training site automatically. Faculty and Staff can access the training through the UMS Academy link on your Portal.

If you have any questions about this training, please feel free to contact:
Sarah Holmes, Assistant Dean of Students and Deputy Title IX Coordinator
(207) 780-5767 or USM.TitleIX@maine.edu
