Michelle Drucker, M.Ed.
Michelle is a Career Advisor in the Career & Employment Hub, as well as an Instructor in the Honors Program. She is passionate about serving as a catalyst and coach for others to explore, identify and achieve their interests, potential and goals.
Michelle has worked in a variety of professional environments, which include non-profit, corporate, and higher education. She has a background in Human Resources (HR), primarily in the areas of learning and development, organizational development, and leadership/coaching. Michelle previously worked in HR at USM for twelve years, including as the Director of Leadership and Organizational Development. After eight years working in other organizations, she returned to her USM “home” as a Career Advisor in the summer of 2018.
To support her work, Michelle is a certified Myers-Briggs practitioner, uses StrengthsFinder, completed a professional ICF-recognized coaching program through the University of Miami, and is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF).
Michelle is a native of Alaska, and has lived in Maine for over thirty years. Volunteering in the community is important to her, and she currently serves on the Board of Girls on the Run-Maine. Michelle enjoys spending time in the outdoors, and can often be found sea kayaking, running, hanging at the beach, gardening, snowshoeing, skiing, or playing with her almost 15-year old Cockapoo, Magellan.
Michelle received a B.A. in Sociology/Public Administration and an M.Ed. in Health Education/Higher Education from the University of Arizona.
