Peer Career Guides (PCGs) are USM students trained to guide fellow students in specific career-related activities. PCGs support students with resume and cover letter development through 1-on-1 conversations. They seek to recognize and enhance students’ strengths. In addition, PCGs help students access additional resources provided by the Career & Employment Hub.

Through one-on-one appointments, PCGs help student by:

  • Reviewing resumes and cover letters and /or providing information on how to get started
  • Supporting resume/cover letter preparation specifically for networking events, internships, and Job & Internship Fairs
  • Identifying useful career resources around campus

Peer Career Guides are available to meet with you in-person at the Career & Employment Hub, Room 210 McGoldrick Center for Career & Student Success. You may also meet virtually via Zoom.
