Stacy Stewart, Ph.D.
Assisting you (current students and alumni) in your career exploration process is my passion. Providing career counseling including reviewing cover letters & resumes, administering and interpreting assessments, assisting students in the job search process and in job preparation (dress for success, mock interviews, networking, use of social media, etc.) are several of the services that I offer. I am certified as a Global Career Development Facilitator; certified in administering and interpreting the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong & iStartStrong; a StrengthsFinder Instructor and I am Gatekeeper trained.
Originally I am from Chebeague Island, Maine and began working for the University of Southern Maine in 2003. I spent twelve years outside the State of Maine attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where I received an Associates Degree in 1995, then I traveled to San Fransisco and obtained a Bachelor's in Psychology from San Francisco State University in 2001, at which point I moved back to Maine and completed my Master's of School Counseling from USM in 2005 and a Ph.D. in Public Policy with a Concentration in Educational Leadership in 2015.
My teaching experience includes HRD 110 Choices, Changes & Careers, LAC 188 College and Career Success and USM 103 Career Strategies. Also, I co-coordinate the LAC 188 course and its development.
