Certificate of Graduate Study in Policy Analysis

The Certificate of Graduate Study in Policy Analysis is designed for social service professionals, children's advocates, teachers, justice system personnel, union and community organizers, policy analysts, policy makers, political activists, planners, and others seeking a better understanding of the intersections between economics, social justice theory, and social policy analysis.

This certificate is a stand-alone credential, or the 12 credits may be transferred into the Master's in Policy, Planning, and Management degree program.

Students select four courses (12 credits) including two required courses and two electives from the following list of approved courses. Other courses may be approved upon request.

If students have not previously completed an introductory-level microeconomics course (or equivalent), at the undergraduate or graduate level, they will be required to complete an undergraduate microeconomics course or PPM 611 Economics and Policy, Planning, and Management as part of the certificate.
