Responsibilities include Laboratory Operations and Special Projects. Provides coordination for the college with USM offices including Facilities Management, University Health and Safety, Property Management, Research Service Center, and Research Integrity and Outreach to ensure the college and faculty can leverage  laboratory infrastructure to maximize student experience.

Doug provides assistance with equipment repair, maintenance, and inventory management, coordinates strategic development of space within the college, and provides training and supervision for students using research instrumentation as needed. If you need equipment repaired, mentoring for student research groups working in labs, assistance with departmental space renovations, or have questions about space use and allocation within the College of Science, Technology, and Health, Doug can help.

Professional background includes Industrial R&D and Academic Research in areas including Radiation Cured Polymer Coatings, Environmental Trace Metal Analysis, Brillouin Scattering,  as well as Medical Device Repair and Live Performance Sound and Lighting Engineering.
