USM Establishes First New England Chapter of Interdisciplinary Environmental Science Honor Society

The first New Egland chapter of Kappa Alpha Omicron (KAO), the international honor society in interdisciplinary environmental sciences/studies, is established at USM.

Preparing For a Trip To Mars

Recently, USM student, Lauren Redmond, finished up her internship for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Lauren did various types of work for the Laboratory, including researching and discovering potential landing spots on Mars for current and future missions.

Krista Meinersmann, Director of the University of Southern Maine School of Nursing, has been chosen as 1 of 37 leaders in nursing education to participate in the inaugural class of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN)-Wharton Executive Leadership Program. USM is the only northern New England program represented in the program which brings together nursing deans and senior faculty leaders from across the country.
