The Department of Communication and Media Studies (CMS) at the University of Southern Maine hosted the Maine Film Association's (MFA) Adobe Premiere Bootcamp at its CMS Production Studio on the Portland Campus on Sunday, June 3.  Neil Shelley, an instructor at the University of Maine and the Maine Media Workshops, and an Adobe Certified instructor, taught the hands-on, all-day workshop.

The one-day workshop at the CMS Production Studio was made possible by the facilitation of Geoffrey Leighton, a CMS adjunct instructor and MFA Board member, Nat Ives, CMS Production Studio Manager and lab instructor and MFA member, David Pierson, Professor of Media Studies and MFA Board member, and Russell Kivatisky, Assistant Professor of Communication and CMS Dept. Chair.  Other MFA members also responsible for organizing the event include Matthew Siegel, MFA Board member, Elizabeth Hall, MFA staff, Tom Handel and Alban Maine, MFA co-chairs.  The Maine Film Association is a state-wide association that supports the art, craft, and business of filmmaking in Maine.  CMS is proud of its association with MFA and supports the Maine filmmaking community through its digital production and filmmaking curriculum and continued involvement in the Maine film industry. Future MFA workshops and events are featured here
