Renowned business ethicist to speak on values-driven businesses at 2nd annual Hussey Leadership Institute
Award-winning scholar and author Dr. Mary Gentile will speak on the topic of her book, “Giving Voice to Values: How to Speak Your Mind When You Know What’s Right” at the University of Southern Maine on April 22 at 5:30 p.m. The keynote address, which is free and open to the public, caps off the day-long Hussey Leadership Institute where nearly 200 emerging leaders from companies and organizations throughout the region will gather at USM to explore what it means to succeed in a values-driven business.

There has been statewide support for Question 4 on the Nov. 6 ballot, from business and health care leaders to residents and more. The bond, if approved, will invest $49 million in the University of Maine System to fund workforce development and infrastructure improvements.

USM's Department of Environmental Science and Policy is running an online course covering aquaponics and recirculating aquaculture systems, available for Spring 2019. The class is inspired by the two land-based aquaculture facilities planned for midcoast Maine.
