USM Associate Professor Presents at the National Athletic Trainer's Association

BRIAN TOY, associate professor and director of Exercise, Health and Sport Sciences, presented “The Use of High-Fidelity Simulation in Athletic Training Education” at the National Athletic Trainers’ Association’s 63rd annual Meeting & Clinical Symposium held on June 27-29 in St. Louis, Mo. BEN TOWNE, lecturer of exercise, health, and sport sciences, JIM SCHILLING, assistant professor of exercise, health, and sport sciences, and JEAN DVORAK, instructor at the school of nursing, contributed to the presentation to emphasize the collaboration between the Exercise, Health and Sport Sciences and USM’s School of Nursing in the use of high-fidelity simulation to teach and assess specific psychomotor and critical thinking skill competencies to students enrolled in Athletic Training Education Program.
