Blackboard Enrolling New Users

"Instructors" of a course or "Leaders" of an organization have the ability of enrolling users into their respective Blackboard sites.  To enroll a user, please follow these 5 steps:

1.  From the course, go to the course/organization control panel and click on 'Users and Groups'

2.  Click on 'Users'

3.  When the 'Users' screen appears, click on the blue 'Find Users to Enroll' button

4.  You will now need to insert the UMaine ID for the person or search for by clicking on the 'Browse' button.

5.  Once you have found the user, select the role you wish to assign to the person and click on the 'Submit' button to process the enrollment.


Please note:  enrolling a person into an academic course as a student does NOT enroll them officially into your course.  Course enrollments are controlled by the Registrar's office and processed in MaineStreet (which will then correctly update the Blackboard course).  If you have any enrollment questions related to a student not displaying in your Blackboard site, please first consult your official MaineStreet roster.  Any discrepancies should be discussed with the Registrar's office.
