Grants Available

CTEL offers the following grants programs during AY18 to support teaching and learning initiatives that can lead to high-quality learning experiences for students at USM.

Please note: All grants are open to both full- and part-time faculty, unless noted.  

 

Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Grants


Up to $150 per faculty, per academic year, is available for purchase of hardware, software, and other resources to support teaching and learning initiatives. TEL grants are for software outisde the kinds of requests that would be covered by USM's Technology Support Center. Faculty teaching classes in face-to-face, blended, and online formats are encouraged to apply. Click here to learn more and apply. 

 

Community of Practice (CoP) Grants 

CTEL invites 10 faculty members who are teaching an upcoming technology-enhanced course (online, blended or face-to-face) to join a community of practice. Participants will earn $1000 in additional compensation upon successful completion. Click here to learn more and apply. 

 

Digital Learning Innovation Grants


CTEL invites faculty to apply for funding to support projects that involve innovative digital teaching and learning approaches. Applications with the greatest scope for impact, scalability and concrete measures of success have the best chance of being funded. Click here to learn more and apply. 

 

Adjunct Faculty Conference Grants

CTEL is excited to present a limited time opportunity to part-time USM faculty who do not have access to their department's funds for professional travel and conference attendance. Such faculty may identify one (1) regional or local conference or other discipline-specific event that they would like to attend before June 30, 2018.
