Amanda's recent work has focused on public versus private health insurance coverage and access for low-income rural children; innovative models for providing behavioral health services, recruiting and retaining health care workers, and delivering health care services in rural areas; and the use of health information exchange to increase access to care for rural veterans. Prior to joining the Muskie School, Amanda was a Public Sector Development Grants Specialist at Partners In Health—an organization that provides and advocates for quality health care in settings of poverty around the world.
