Prior to joining USM in June 2016, Jeanne worked at the Co-Occurring Collaborative Serving Maine as the Events and Communications Director, where she focused on behavioral health workforce development, planning and implementing continuing education programs. She has a background as a Master’s level licensed substance abuse and mental health treatment provider, having worked in both in-patient and out-patient settings. Jeanne has also worked in the private sector as the Marketing Manager for a large regional accounting firm, and managed her own small business providing coaching to runners. She was inducted into the Maine Running Hall of Fame in 2012 for her running accomplishments and related activities.

Areas of Expertise

Jeanne's primary focus is on the behavioral health workforce, particularly the Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician (MHRT) certification program through Maine’s Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services. She presently oversees a comprehensive redesign initiative of the MHRT Community certification. She is also interested in communication and stakeholder engagement projects addressing consumer self-advocacy and integrated health care systems.
