Casey is a Research Analyst on the Violence Against Women Act Measuring Effectiveness Initiative project, at the Catherine E. Cutler Institute at the Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine. Prior to her position on the VAWA MEI team, Casey worked in the social services field providing in-home and community support to youth and their families. Casey attended the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH, where she earned her dual BA, majoring in Psychology and in Justice Studies and minoring in Forensics. Outside of work, Casey enjoys playing and coaching ice hockey, playing her guitar, attending concerts, and exploring new places.
Areas of Expertise
As a member of the VAWA MEI team, Casey provides technical assistance and training to grantees of the Office of Violence Against Women (OVW) nationwide through phone, email and webinar communications regarding how to report their data accurately on the mandatory grant reporting forms. Casey works with grantees and grant administrators to resolve misreported data using Access database, SPSS, Excel, and Word to manage and log the data cleaning process.
