  • On May 9, 2017, Erika delivered the plenary session, ”Rural Populations, Culture and Tobacco Use" at the 2017 Maine Annual Tobacco Treatment Conference.
  • On May 22, 2017, Erika presented the talk "Creating a Culture of Health in Rural Communities" at the event: Rural Communities Working across Sectors to Achieve Better Health: The Experience of the Oxford County Wellness Collaborative--A Meeting of Maine’s Community and State Leaders.

  • On June 2, Erika participated in a panel discussion on Rural Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) at the 5th annual Public-Private Collaborations in Rural Health Meeting in Washington, DC.Sponsored by Grantmakers in Health, the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy, and the National Rural Health Association, the meeting hosted more than 100 participants from a wide range of foundations, trusts, partner organizations, and federal agencies/offices. Some of Erika's remarks were featured in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Active Living by Design blog.
