John Gale made a series of presentations on behalf of the Maine Rural Health Research Center
- John Gale presented about substance abuse, telehealth, and Rural Health Clinics at the National Organization of State Office of Rural Health (NOSORH) Region A grantee meeting in Cape May, NJ. The title of his presentation was "Community Based Solutions for Substance Abuse Treatment and Generational Impact."
- On September 8th, John was part of a panel discussion on "Making Connections with Technology: The Issues, Benefits and Barriers to Using Telehealth in Behavioral Healthcare." This presentation was part of a half day forum in Augusta sponsored by the Co-Occurring Collaborative Serving Maine.
- On September 11th, John presented to the Secretary of Health and Human Services' National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services in Boise, ID. His presentation was entitled, "Modernizing the Rural Health Clinic Program." The presentation supports the work of the National Committee in developing recommendations for the Rural Health Clinic program.
