Melinda has worked for the Cutler Institute and Muskie School since 2003. Her start was with the Child Welfare Training Institute (CWTI), where she coordinated the logistics of Caseworker Preservice Training. She is currently a member of the Muskie School Technology Team as well as the Augusta eLearning team where she enjoys designing eLearning projects. Melinda enjoys being creative. She loves gardening, sewing, machine embroidery, and a multitude of crafty things. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Areas of Expertise
Orders, installs and maintains operating system and application software on USM Muskie School computing environments (including printers) in Augusta.
Assist faculty, staff and students with hardware and software troubleshooting.
Consults with faculty and staff on a broad range of computer hardware and software issues.
Administer the daily operation of the Muskie/Augusta helpdesk, including opening/closing duties, maintaining computer equipment inventory, and dissemination of information to groups within the Muskie School.
Assists, as needed, in the installation of and on-going support for Institute networks and peripherals, including video conference equipment.
Front-line phone and on-site support to ensure faculty and staff computers are fully operational; assign and monitor service orders for proper and timely completion; write user-friendly documentation, user guides, and technical training publications; recommend and order hardware and software to meet specific user and campus requirements; maintain department computer equipment inventory.
