Areas of Expertise
Tara Wheeler, MPPM; Research Analyst II. Since 2014, Ms. Wheeler has served as research staff at Violence Against Women Act Measuring Effectiveness Initiative (VAWA MEI), where she manages and analyzes large data sets using her thorough understanding of statistical techniques and the use of statistical analysis software such as SPSS. She is proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and she routinely designs and develops reports and forms for the Justice Policy Program focus area of the Muskie School. Ms. Wheeler leads the development and revision of VAWA semi-annual progress reporting forms and works closely with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women to ensure that these forms accurately reflect VAWA statutory changes. She provides the final accuracy review for data products, reports, and responses to ad hoc data requests.
