Tracy Michaud, Professor within the Tourism & Hospitality program at USM, recently co-published the textbook titled, Experiencing Archaeology. The focus of this textbook is to provide accessible, hands-on archaeology lab exercises suitable for large introductory classes in colleges and high schools, museums, and other archaeology-based tourism attractions. There is currently a need for this type of text as lab instructors look to adopt more high-impact, engaging learning techniques and tourism destinations work to create appealing “experiences” for visitors. Available through Berghahn Books, Inc.
