Tyler graduated from Eckerd College in 2019 with a B.A. in Anthropology and Environmental Studies. His academic focus on social science research methodology led him to complete a capstone research project on gun violence perceptions among aging populations in Florida.

At Cutler, he works within the PHHP program on a research team whose concentration area is substance use disorder treatment and recovery resources. The team conducts mixed-methods evaluation research projects; Tyler's role includes qualitative data collection and analysis, data visualization, progress reporting, and summary product development. Adapting to changing workflows during the COVID pandemic, Tyler also assisted in implementing best-practice remote data collection techniques for virtual focus groups and listening sessions.

Tyler is a USCG Licensed Captain and PADI Divemaster, and in his free time enjoys skiing, woodworking, and macrophotography.

Tyler is experienced in NVIVO, MAXQDA, SPSS, Qualtrics, Snap Surveys, and various other data collection, analysis, and visualization tools.
