On Friday, April 27, 2018, the University of Southern Maine’s Aging Initiative held the first annual Symposium on Aging in the Abromson Center, with more than a hundred people in attendance, including faculty, research and other staff, students and Senior College members (including OLLI). The Initiative is a multidisciplinary group of USM faculty and staff who have joined together to raise student awareness of age-related issues, to foster collaboration across disciplines and departments, and to build a bridge between aging-related scholars at USM and the larger community.
