As Director of Graduate Studies, Andrew advocates for graduate students and graduate education at USM, partnering closely with students, faculty, and staff to provide academic and student support to all graduate students and programs.
Andrew advises the Graduate Student Board and serves on numerous committees, including the Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Council (IDEC), the Judicial Education Development Initiative (JEDI), and others. He is a member of the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) and serves on its Advocacy Ambassadors Network.
Andrew’s career in higher education began in 2004 as Staff Associate for the University of Maine System’s Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs. From 2005 – 2015 he was Coordinator of Admissions and Recruitment at the Hunter College School of Education in New York City, before returning to his home state of Maine to serve as Director of Admissions at USM until 2018. Before working in higher education, Andrew was a magazine editor and writer.
