David Lewis

David grew up in central Massachusetts where he attended college and began his career working in higher education within Student Affairs at Framingham State University.  After college, David moved up to Bangor, Maine where he worked as a Coordinator of Student Life and Resident Director at Husson University.  While at Husson, he earned a masters degree in business administration as well as a masters in human relations with a concentration on counselling. After several years, David moved to Rhode Island to advance his career where he worked at Roger WIlliams University and Johnson & Wales University in their Residential Life & Housing offices.

Since 2017, David has been working here at the University of Southern Maine as the Director of Student Engagement and Leadership. He is excited to be able to incorporate his passions for student leadership and development theory into his work with the amazing students here at USM.       

In his spare time, David likes to spend time with his family and friends, obsess over all the New England sport teams, and play golf!
