Erica King

Erica King, MSW is a Senior Policy Associate at the University of Southern Maine’s Catherine Cutler Institute and a Senior Associate with Orbis Partners. Ms. King works with jurisdictions in the US and Canada to evaluate and strengthen programs, provide training and technical assistance, and design organizational and workforce development strategies around the implementation and integration of evidence-based practices and gender-responsive principles. 

Much of her work has focused on promoting gender and racial equity and data-driven practices across justice and education settings. Ms. King directs various federal, local, and foundation-based grants and contracts and various national, state, and local systems change projects. She is an alumnus of the Applied Leadership Network of the Juvenile Justice Strategy Group at the Annie E. Casey Foundation, a member of the international Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT), an evaluator of the Correctional Program Assessment Inventory-2000, and a certified trainer of various assessment and programs. 

She serves as a co-faculty for results-based leadership programs with the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the John T. Gorman Foundation to strengthen leaders in public sector systems, non-profits, community-based service organizations, and advocacy initiatives from across Maine and the US so that they are able to make a measurable impact on both program and population results. 

As an accomplished trainer and group facilitator, Ms. King has a passion for developing authentic, responsive adult learning experiences. She is a skilled leader in multi-agency collaboration and facilitation. Her passion is working in partnership with staff, organizations, and vulnerable populations to design and implement policies and programs that support them in doing their best work to promote positive change.
