Laura has worked at the Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) since 2016. She provides applied research, technical assistance, and expertise to private and public sector organizations across the state addressing economic development and workforce challenges and opportunities. Laura is passionate about finding creative ways to use and apply data to develop and deliver actionable insight.
As Project Director/Research Associate, she is responsible for the development, oversight, and execution of applied research projects and planning tasks related to CBER’s work plan as a University Center (UC) of the Economic Development Administration (EDA) as well as other grants and sponsored projects awarded to the Center.
Prior to her role at CBER, Laura worked in leadership and managerial roles in the food & hospitality industry. She has more than 10 years of professional experience in various kitchen settings from full-service restaurants to large-scale production/value-add operations. Those experiences laid the groundwork for her interest in and enthusiasm for sustainable food systems.
