Heather joined the Disability Services Center in May 2012 after working as a Policy Training Specialist at the Cutler Institute for Health and Social Policy. She has extensive experience in the areas of adult mental health, substance abuse, crisis intervention, and disability accommodation. Prior to joining USM, Heather served as a member of Maine Medical Center's Department of Vocational Services TANF Grant Team helping parents with disabilities achieve their employment goals. Heather has also worked as a clinical case manager and is a per diem mental health crisis clinician at Sweetser serving Cumberland, Sagadahoc and Lincoln counties.
Heather is a life long Mainer and a proud USM School of Social Work alum. She enjoys all things cooking and students can frequently find fresh granola or a fully stocked candy bowl at the DSC. Heather resides in Topsham with her husband Michael and their daughter, Zoe.
